Application
Wool roller Finishing Brush Paint Brush Spray Gun

A) To obtain a fine finish over spackle or acrylic, we recommend using a low nap wool paint roller, the same used for application of epoxy paint.

B) In painting or repainting where there are applications or retouching of pastes (spackle, acrylic or plaster), differences in sheen may be noted after application. This is due to the lack of uniformity in absorption from the substrate. To avoid this effect, we recommend application of the product diluted with 30% water only at the points that had corrections with paste;

C) Removal of grime: in the affected location, use a soft cloth or sponge with neutral detergent. Then clean with a moist cloth. Perform cleaning with soft movements only in the affected location so as to preserve the original finish. In the case of deeper grime, this process may lead to polishing of the paint film (difference in sheen), not affecting resistance and durability;

D) Avoid isolated retouching after drying of the paint;

E) Coverage in practice may vary as a result of the method of application, structure geometry, roughness and absorption from the surface, thickness of the product layer deposited, atmospheric conditions and application technique.

According to ABNT NBR 13.245.

  • Preparation: the surface must be firm, uniform, clean, dry, and without dust, fatty materials, soap and mold.  Before beginning painting, observe the following instructions:
  • Surfaces with loose or falling parts: they must be scraped or brushed until complete removal of paint residues. Then apply Eucatex Wall Base Preparer (Fundo Preparador de Paredes) according to label instructions.
  • Surfaces with mold: wash them with a water and bleach solution in a 1:1 ratio, rinse and wait for them to dry. This process is necessary to correct possible causes of mold generation.
  • Surfaces with fatty stains: wash them with a water and neutral detergent solution, rinse and wait for them to dry.
  • New stucco: wait for it to cure for at least 30 days. Apply 1 or 2 coats of Eucatex Acrylic Sealer (Selador Acrílico) according to label recommendations and if it is necessary, smooth out the surface by applying 2 or 3 coats of Eucatex Acrylic Paste (Massa Acrílica) (areas that may receive moisture) or Eucatex Spackle (Massa Corrida) (areas that may not receive moisture).
  • Light stucco (low cohesiveness): apply Eucatex Wall Base Preparer (Fundo Preparador de Paredes) according to label instructions and smooth the surface, applying 2 or 3 coats of Eucatex Acrylic Paste (Massa Acrílica) (areas that may receive moisture) or Eucatex Spackle (Massa Corrida) (areas that may not receive moisture).
