A panel coated with melamine thermal fused under pressure and heat on one or two faces. Provided In solid colors, wood grains and fantasy finishes and in several optional low relief textures they match MDF and MDP panels with the same patterns and textures.

Applications

In bottoms of furniture and drawers of residential and commercial furniture, offices, hotels and , in the manufacturing of sturdy light weight thick hollow core panels.
In building it can be used in several applications, as: partitions, wall coating, etc.

Finishing

The T-HDF Eucafibra LPL is melamine coated on one or two surfaces. It is offered in such sophisticated finishes as Arenato (Sand grain finish) and Natural Wood, and also in the traditional textured wood finish.

Packaging

The T-HDF Eucafibra LPL is supplied in pallets, in accordance with specific size and thickness.Pallets are provided with top and bottom dunnage boards, corner blocked and steel strapped for safe handling. Panels may be supplied with protective film upon request.

Transportation and Handling

  • The pallets must be transported with forklifts or similar equipment, to avoid damaging edges of panels.
  • The floor of the body of the transporting truck must be clean, dry, even and without nails and screws sticking out or with overlapping boards. Gaps, if any, must be sealed. For greater safety, the stacks must be blocked and supported by fastening cables or ropes. The areas of panels under pressure of these ropes and cables should be protected by angle plates or plastic wedges.
  • During the route in a transporting truck with open bodywork, protect the product against rain with waterproof tarpaulin. Grain trucks must have the grain outlet closed to avoid rain during the journey.
  • Avoid board excess, mainly when there is no mechanized means of unloading (forklifts ). When unloading or moving panels, avoid dragging them or subjecting them to any sort of friction.

Storage

  • The storage must be done in  a covered place, protected from weather and far from moisture and heat.
  • Panels must be stacked horizontally, on a firm level base raised from the floor by means of suitable wedges. It is advisable that the maximum distance between the wedges be 50 cm.
  • Avoid alternative stacking of panels with  great differences in dimensions. The maximum stacking must be 6 meters high.
  • Avoid placing hard objects (metals, concrete, wood) on the boards or letting them  in contact with products which may alter their natural features (grease, oil, cement, etc.).
  • Place a suitable number of wedges, increasing the quantity for panels which are not so thick. Warning: the wedges must always have the same height, with a length equal to the width of the boards.
  • In hot places it is advisable to place a dunnage board on the stack, both in storage and movement during the processing, to reduce the effect of the heat which affects the surface of the material, so that no moisture is lost on the exposed surface, that may cause imbalance, which can deform panel.
  • Avoid excessive storage  time so as not to cause panel deformation owing to  gain/loss of  moisture.

Bacterban – Antibacterial Protection in the Tamburato Light Weight Thick hollow cored panels


The Tamburato (Light weight thick Hollow Cored Panel, with LPL ( Low Pressure Melamine Lamination ) is also  protected by Bacterban, an antibacterial agent which prevents the growth and reproduction of fungi and bacteria on the surface of  panel.

Incorporated in the Formitop ( High Gloss Melamine Coated panels ) during the manufacturing process, the antibacterial protection provides a more hygienic surface, facilitating the cleaning.

As the Bacterban has a continuous action, this protection is prolonged, avoiding stains and the deterioration caused by microorganisms.

It ensures active protection during the useful life of the surface of the furniture and maintains the appearance and makes it look new for much longer period of time. Ideal for residential and commercial furniture, hospitals, schools, restaurants, bars, etc.
